The eyes of Christ view the world differently than the world views itself. Values, priorities and expectations change when we learn to look through eyes given by the crucified, risen and returning Savior.

Favre

I AM FURIOUS AT THE PACKER DEMI-GOD WHO IS FAVRE.

And I am falling deeper in love with Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy. Thank goodness that they both have serious heads on their shoulders, and that they plan for the future of the organization, and don't think like a 3 year old child.

He retired, we moved on. We have a young squad, and it will be wonderful to have a young quarterback who can grow with the players. Rodgers is responsive, and he's a relational leader, on and off the field. He has dedicated his time to relationships and establishing himself as a leader - the players respect him and think he will do well.

If we have Favre this year, we might have a shot at the Super-bowl, or he'll try to be the hero again, and throw the bombs which lost us the Dallas game last year. Rodgers came in and was brilliant because he played in the system, rather than for himself. He did what the coaches wanted him to, rather than simply what he wanted to. The only reason Favre had a breakout season last year was that McCarthy was able to reign him in and managed to convince him to play within his high percentage, West Coast offense. Rodgers does that. Sure, Favre was brilliant in his own way, but fighting a system is a great way to simply lose games. One of the best? Maybe one of the best player - best lovers of the game. Maybe best competitors, or best built for it. But greatness comes from an ability to be a leader while staying within the lines. Favre was great because he went out of the lines, but it was one of his greatest weaknesses as well.

Anyway, I think TT is right in trying to ditch him in the AL. Hopefully, we manage it. Otherwise... we have the cap room. Put him on the roster, and put him on the sidelines. He can't do anything about it - he's under contract. If he wants to play, then go away. Don't ruin the team you resurrected.

What an arrogant pig.
